I thought it had been a while since I’d posted anything, and I haven’t really had time to finish what I wanted to post. So I’m copping out and just posting some work I’ve just finished. I’ve been working on a logo design and business card for a brand new state of the art recording studio. Eye Studios is a multi-discipline recording studio, producing anything from rock and punk to corporate soundtracks and idents.
The guys at the studio wanted some kind of symbol to be associated with the name, but weren’t sure exactly what they wanted. I played around with a few ideas, sent a couple of concepts over and this was the winning logo. A few refinements to the lines and here it is, completely finished.
The guys also wanted a clean business card design to compliment their new image. They wanted something cool but classy, bold but not too brash and a simple colour scheme. This is what we came up with.
Anyway, I hope you like it.
Sorry I don’t have much time to blog at the moment. I am working on sorting our website out - STILL! It’s very hard to design for yourself, as we’ve previously discussed here (and many other designers will tell you the same). That, and a busy schedule, have led to me putting it off for too long now.
Soon, you’ll hopefully be able to start reading a series of articles about logo design - where I’ll be looking at the process in great detail. Anyway, please excuse my spelling mistakes and grammar, it’s my day off! Ok, be seeing you!
